Muslim Community in Burma Faces Great Massacre

Burma, which covers an area of 250,000 square miles or more with a population of more than 60 million people, is located in the south East Asia. Burma is a budhist majority, where 90 percent of the population is budhist and the rest are Muslims. The Muslims in Burma are held as minorities as their rights are not respected, they were marginalized and expelled from the Burmese army during the reign of general ne win in 1962.
If we concentrate on recent massacres, it happened on 12thJuly 2012 in Myanmar where more than 1000 innocent Muslims were killed brutally, they were tortured in ways which can’t be expressed in words, raped etc. rohingya, is the ethnic group of Muslims in Burma has been threatened all along and has been targeted . The core problem what has been figured out is in response to the anti budhist actions carried out by Taliban in bamiyan, these massacres started in 2001 when many houses were set ablaze to be precise on quantity 400 along with 200 deaths of innocent Muslims plus destruction of 11 mosques, it has started since then and there doesn’t seem to be any end to it. The government is least bothered and is pressurized by the opposing party as they have taken power and nearly more than half of the nation is in support of their movements. These massacres against the Muslims of Burma rohingya are followed pretty religiously by the residents of Burma, as Muslims don’t have any citizenship they are regarded as “foreign residents” and are subject of all kind of tortures, discriminatory actions to access of education and forced labour especially child labour, even children of 7 years age are seen working. Muslims of Burma are treated very badly, and they must not even hear of any such thing as human rights.
As if the whole world has been blind, not even a single country tried to even negotiate until a Turkish delegation hit the lands of Myanmar, and carried out relief camps where more than 801 tents are set up and 8352 people are being accommodated over there and being supplied by the basic necessities. 3.4million TL has been arranged for the Muslims of Myanmar as funds for aid. Most of the Muslims in Burma had started moving towards Bangladesh, a country which itself is one of the poorest countries of the world and cant seem handle to handle refugees as it has a lot of political problems itself. 90,000 or more Muslims in Myanmar have been left homeless since all these.
