A woman is given a very high status in Islam. They are supposed to be treated with respect and kindness. A woman is very sensitive; she goes through a lot of pain and hurdles in every step of her life. The relationship between a man and woman in Islam is very special. In Islam, a woman is supposed to keep herself covered and lower her gaze whenever talking to a man out of blood relatives known as ‘Na Mahram’. Same goes for the man; he should lower his gaze when talking to a ‘Na Mahram’. Islam is not a difficult religion to follow, but these days, all new scholars and groups have made it difficult for the Ummah to follow it and fulfill its prospects. No where in the Quran is it mentioned that a couple cannot have a love marriage.
If a man is sincere enough, then he should offer his hand in marriage and the families must have a talk. The pre-marital relationship has its advantages, the couple leads a happy life and the chances of divorce are minimized. However, pre-marital sex or any physical activity is strictly prohibited in Islam. The couple is still ‘Na Mahram’ for each other until their Nikkah. In a pre-marital relationship, the couple can only discuss their plans for the future, their likes and dislikes. Things prohibited in Islam have their reasons. For instance, pre-marital sex is prohibited because no one knows if the couples are in love or if they are sincere with each other. They might break up and their problems are the losing of virginity, stress, depression, mental illness and also pregnancy out of wedlock.
A couple in a premarital relationship should respect their limitations and boundaries. They should follow the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. The pre-marital relations have some advantages and disadvantages. The important advantage of pre-marital relation is that couples can understand the habits of each other. They can discuss various matters and factors related to their marriage. Similarly, they can make plans about their future life. The chances of divorce and conflicts become much less due to pre-marital relations. Islam allows couples to meet once before marriage to avoid any problems later. However, sex relation is prohibited strictly in Islam before marriage. Therefore, we should follow the teachings and lessons of Islam, so that we can avoid any problems later. Now the pre-marital relations have become very common in the world. Most couples in Western countries enjoy sex before their marriage, but it is not correct. This kind of relation may lead to severe problems later for this couple. The pre-marital relations are very rare in Islamic countries due to presence of Islamic culture. The divorce rate is also rare in these countries. We should know that Islamic teachings are very important for our benefits. If you want to lead a superior life then you should follow these teachings strictly.
